10th October - Halloween Ceildih The annual Halloween Ceilidh will be held in the village hall on Friday 27th October at 8pm. Tickets only £5 from Juliet (01337 810298) or at the door. All profits to the village Hall. All welcome. B.Y.O.B.
27th August- Letham Aerial photo Competition Ryan Gray from School Brae has submitted a set of photos which were taken during a flying lesson. The question for all landscape archaeologists is when were the photos taken? View the photos here then discuss the dates on the discussion board.

11th April - Draft Local Plan responses The following pdf files are taken from the Fife Council Website and are responses to the draft local plan submitted by various parties. 3rd March - Community Council responses Responses from Monimail Community Council to planning applications for Trimlins and Fernie Castle and a response to BEARs consultation are now on the Community Council section of the site.
15th February - Census Data David Castle-Smith, former Resident and Policeman of Letham (1985-88) has catalogued the census data for Monimail Parish in the 19th Century. This is a tremendous piece of work and an invaluable resource for anyone wanting to research ancestors, previous occupants of the parish etc. David has kindly allowed me to post his work on the site. To view the document you will need a program that can read pdf files. One such (free) program that is Adobe Acrobat Reader. This programme can search for individual names (the binocular icon) which is handy seeing as its 125 pages long!!

10th October - The year of Aquarians? The Community Council are seeking volounteers to help out by watering community owned plant tubs/window boxes in Letham and Monimail. Fife Council offer grants of up to £500 to create up to 25 flowertubs. All we need are people to volounteer to look after and water a tub or two. This is regarded as a cornerstone of this year's bid to win Fife Council's Best Kept Village Award away from those rascals at Collessie! 10th October - Lost your bottle? The Letham Recycling Centre is back up and running but is now located behind the village hall. This site is being trialled for 6 months but is likely to become permanent
if there are no problems in that time.
2nd May- Weather Forecast Follow this link or use the Weather button on the left to get the 3 day weather forecast for St.Andrews. Unfortunately they don't do one specifically for Letham! All measures are metric.

16th February - Discussion Board I've installed a discussion board on the site on which visitors can post comments setup polls, discuss planning matters, question elected representatives etc. I don't really know how popular it will be but I'll run it for a few months and see how it goes. I'm not entirely convinced it's the easiest thing to use so please give me some feedback on it. When you go into the site, click the text saying General Discussion and you'll see a list of some topics I've started.
11th February - Anyone for Tai Chi? Anyone for Tai Chi? Some members of the community have been looking into the prospect of starting a Tai Chi class at Letham Hall and would like to see what level of interest there is for it.
